reminder for Matomo EPOS instance
Just a reminder after the email sent (here is a copy of the message):
Dear Cedric, dear Jean-Baptiste
I hope you are well.
On November 30, Claudio and Federica met with Cédric to advance our discussion on integrating Matomo for the EPOS Data Portal, following our previous hackathon in Rome. Our goal is to set up Matomo Tag Manager to refine our usage statistics collection, addressing the current limitations due to the Data Portal's single-page application nature.
We've encountered a challenge: the current Matomo instance, shared with BRGM services, cannot accommodate the Tag Manager due to security policies. Cédric suggested a workaround - a Matomo instance exclusively for our Data Portal. This would allow us the flexibility to tailor the Tag Manager to our specific needs and provide ECO team members, including Claudio and Federica, direct access.
We believe this is a viable solution. With your approval, we aim to initiate data collection by January or as early in 2024 as possible, to ensure we have reliable annual statistics for the forthcoming year. We are open to further discussions if necessary.
Cédric agrees with the proposed solution; however, he required a more formal request, which is the intent behind this correspondence. With your consent, we will take the necessary steps to formalize our agreement and proceed with the dedicated Matomo instance setup.
Warmest regards and Merry Christmas, Daniele
